Burntwood Court: Coronavirus Latest

We are back open!

The health and safety of our customers and staff is our priority and we have put measures in place so you can stay with confidence. As the Coronavirus outbreak comes under control, these measures will be continually reviewed and may be reduced, amended or eliminated.

To help facilitate social distancing I’m sure you’re aware we have plenty of space around the complex and and are fortunate enough to have large indoor and outdoor areas with a variety of seating and overspill areas available should they be needed.

Outlined below is our Covid-19 operating policy and procedures that will explain in more detail how things may look when you return to see us.  For these procedures to be a success we need everyone to pull together and do their part.

Whilst we have been closed, we’ve been using the time to improve our facilities and for those of you following our social media you may have already seen a snapshot of what we have been working on.

I would like to thank all our customers who have been supportive over the last few months. We have missed you and are looking forward to welcoming you back over the coming weeks.

Managing Director

Burntwood Bar - COVID 19 Guide

We have temporarily reduced our opening times to: –
Monday to Sunday

  • Food  12.00pm – 8.30pm
  • Bar 11.30am – 10.30pm

Upon re-opening we have introduced some extra measures in accordance with Government guidelines to help reduce the risk of spreading Covid-19.  To help facilitate social distancing I’m sure you’re aware we have plenty of space around the complex and are fortunate enough to have large indoor and outdoor areas with a variety of seating and overspill areas available should they be needed.

We ask people to be mindful that this is a “new normal” for everyone and we require your patience & understanding while we work through and adapt to this new way of working.

We all need to work together to create a safe & enjoyable environment for everyone whilst adhering to the Government Guidelines.

  • We are operating a one way system, entry will be via the Qube entrance and exit will be via the usual Burntwood Entrance. We do not know how long this will be in force.
  • On arrival at the Qube entrance you will be greeted by a member of staff who will ask for your name and contact details, they will then allocate you a table.  This is part of the Government initiative for the NHS track & Trace System
  • Queues, indoor and outside, will only be allowed if social distancing is adhered to
  • We are using some social distance markings but we expect customers to be sensible and responsible
  • You will be required to sanitise your hands before entering the building
  • Disabled customers will still be able to use the usual entrance to the Burntwood Bar however we ask that a representative from your party must first register at the Qube entrance so that we can make arrangements for this
  • Once your table is ready you will be given a table number, you should proceed directly to the table you have been given
  • We ask that customers do not move furniture, i.e. Tables & Chairs, or return plates, cutlery and glasses to the bar
  • Menus and condiments will be brought to your table.
  • Table service only! We will be encouraging people to order through the App/QR system we already have running in the bar
(As we have done from the start)
  • We will now be closing at around 9:30pm to make sure everyone has left for 10pm
  • All customers are required to wear face-masks, except when sat at their table
  • If you have Children with you please ensure they stay seated at your given table unless they need to use the WC or outdoor play area and they must follow social distancing guidelines at all times.  We appreciate this can be difficult at times but we are asking this to ensure the safety of both them and others around them
  • Any children using the Outdoor Play area must be accompanied by an adult at all times and must maintain the Social Distancing rule of 1 Metre.
  • We ask all customers to keep a safe distance of at least “1 metre plus” from those who are not part of your household at all times
  • We are discouraging large groups. If customers do arrive in a large group or attempt to congregate in the pub after arrival, they will be asked to disperse around the pub, if capacity allows, or leave the premises.
  • It is important that if you have any symptoms of Covid-19 or have been in contact with anyone else who has you must NOT attend Burntwood Court
  • Customers need to be aware that local authorities and the police have the powers to enforce the requirements in relation to social distancing and may instruct customers to leave, issue a fixed penalty or take further enforcement action. Also customers must be prepared to safely remove face masks if asked to do so by the police and our staff for the purposes of identification.

Using the Toilets

  • Masks must be worn when using the toilets
  • Customers must sanitise their hands before entering the toilets
  • Inside the toilets please wash hands utilising the liquid soap and paper towels provided
  • The toilets will be cleaned every 30 minutes and will be well ventilated. A cleaning schedule will be in each toilet
