the brief was to capture a modern style wedding in our ‘traditional/modern’ chapel. – we think we hit the brief perfectly and are delighted with the outcome! We couldn’t wait to show you the finished images so here they are…
It’s been a long time coming but we have finally received planning permission to build our ‘holiday pods’ on the Burntwood Court Complex.
We have been working with architects, Bond Bryan and sister company, Saul Construction, on the project to bring the concept to life.
The build comprises of nine pods for people to rent and spend some well-deserved rest, now even more important during these unprecedented times. These pods will complement our existing facilities on site, which include a restaurant, pub, gym and spa facilities, besides a recently built ceremony hall. In fact, one of the main drivers for the project was to provide a future couples, a place to stay with the best atmosphere and experience possible, ready for the big day. The ‘Pods’ range from a single to two bedrooms and a two storeys premium pod. All pods have full-catering facilities besides an external jacuzzi for maximum relaxation.

We’re excited to share that Burntwood Court has officially submitted plans for a new Padel and Sports Club development. The plans include four covered padel courts, a premium 3G football pitch, and a modern clubhouse pavilion with a café, social space, viewing terrace and landscaped outdoor areas.
This investment reflects our long-term commitment to improving Burntwood Court for both members and the local community. Our goal is to create a modern and welcoming place for sport, fitness and socialising for years to come.
The new facilities will complement our existing Health Club and leisure offering. They will also give local people access to one of the world’s fastest-growing sports. Many of our members currently travel outside the area to play padel. We hope these new facilities will bring that experience closer to home.
The development has been carefully designed to work with the surrounding landscape. The plans focus on sustainability, accessibility and high-quality facilities for all visitors. The clubhouse design includes natural materials, landscaped spaces and improved access around the site.
Padel continues to grow rapidly across the UK, and we’re proud to bring these exciting new facilities to Barnsley and the surrounding area. We are hopeful of securing planning approval and look forward to sharing further updates as the project progresses.
